Bodybuilding Supplements - For Worked Out Muscle Cells Crying Out "Feed Me, Feed Me!"

You may be doing hours of exercise but if you want to increase your results you need to look to bodybuilding supplements. The fact is, that unless you ensure that you eat six optimally balanced meals each day, you're not going to be getting those hoped-for muscles as quickly as you could if you were using bodybuilding supplements. Yes, I know it's confusing with the enormous array of choices, and supplements are always expensive but if you choose well, you can have incredible results which make them well worth the money.

Bodybuilding supplements can give your body the perfect dietetic balance that will promote the speedy acquisition of those desired-for muscles. There are many varieties of bodybuilding supplements so you will need to research to find the one that is best suited to your goals. Be careful while using bodybuilding supplements, as their improper use is harmful.

If you're looking for meal replacement powders try to find one that has everything you need to effectively supplement your bodybuilding project. This will save you buying multiple ones and although it may work out as a little more expensive, it is easier than buying several different supplements individually.

Price minded bodybuilders should consider buying bodybuilding supplements in bulk saving them a lot of money in the long run and doing the environment some good by saving on packaging.

If you are already using for a meal replacement shake than all you need in addition is a high quality multivitamin, once a day. However, additional Vitamin C could also be added as you cannot get too much of vitamin-C. The body just passes unused amounts. How much is a good amount for a bodybuilder? About 3000 milligrams per day evenly spaced out. If your multivitamin has 1000 milligrams of vitamin-C, just add another 1000mgs at lunch and dinner.

Fast absorbing protein bodybuilding supplements add to the results of each exercise as large muscles need protein for rebuilding and strengthening. Whey is one of the best sources as it is the fastest and completely absorbs.

Following the manufacturer's instructions for taking body supplements can prevent from you doing harm. The amounts give in the usage instructions are there because the process of muscle increase requires a specific amount for nutritional balance.

Summary:

There are an enormous amount of bodybuilding supplements to choose from but once you're sure of what you need to supplement your diet and exercise, the results will convince you that they are money well spent.

Bodybuilding Supplement Buying Tips

Just pick up a bodybuilding, or fitness magazine and you will see many ads for bodybuilding supplements. Bodybuilders, and fitness enthusiasts will turn to almost anything as long as the advertising tells them what they want to hear. Many bodybuilding supplement users are literally wasting their hard earned money, decreasing their health, and not seeing any results.

This huge drive for added muscle, and less body fat has lead to a bodybuilding supplement buying bonanza. Many weightlifting enthusiasts, who decided to not consider using steroids, are blindly turning to bodybuilding supplements for instant muscle building alternatives.

Once bodybuilding supplement manufacturers know how eager bodybuilders, and fitness buffs deeply desire fast muscle gain, they tend to market with extreme vigor to this results happy market. Watch out - not everything you read in their marketing material is valid. As a matter of fact, most of their claims are simply untrue. Pick up a muscle magazine. Look at all the huge claims. Don't they sound way too good to be true?

The fact is most bodybuilders, fitness buffs, and weight loss enthusiasts are so desperate for results they tend to buy into anything and everything they read. As a result of this behavior in helping you, I have listed five crucial points to consider before ever purchasing another bodybuilding supplement. Refer to this checklist listed below as a nutrition supplement consumer awareness guide that should be utilized before purchasing a bodybuilding, or dietary supplement.

To determine if your gym supplements are really legit, follow my 5 recommendations below. By doing so, you will be confident the claims are in alignment with the results you are anticipating.

1. Don't Buy Resulting From Word Of Mouth Or Advertising Claims - When inquiring on new bodybuilding supplements, don't trust what advertisers are claiming. Do your complete due diligence prior to purchasing it. Be a bit skeptical. Also, please be aware of your fellow fitness enthusiast wishing to help you develop bigger muscle, and lower your body fat by recommending specific potions they claim will work. Don't believe everything that is said! A few minutes of research will tell you the whole story. Don't be a follower, but a thinker.

It is crucial to understand that some bodybuilding supplement companies own and manage the fitness magazines they promote. Thus, the articles within can be directed at promoting their own bodybuilding supplements.

When reading bodybuilding supplement ads, please read the fine print. If they are referring to a specific research study, investigate that study further. It is well worth your time. Once again, don't believe everything you read!

2. Check To See If The Bodybuilding Supplement Is Banned - It is important to research the IOC, NFL, and NCAA banned substance list to see if your intended gym supplement is banned by any of these. If so, they can possibly be considered dangerous, and would not be considered a good idea to use.

3. Think Safety First - Is your muscle, or weight loss supplement really safe to take? Why would you want to risk your health attempting to achieve quicker results? Please consider the risk-to-benefit ratio for all bodybuilding supplements. Don't jeopardize your long term health in favor of adding five more pounds of muscle. Look for safety data on your particular supplement of interest. You should also refer to your physician by asking if there are any risks associated with a particular bodybuilding supplement.

4. Look For Scientific, Placebo-Controlled Studies - Do the studies refute or concur with the bodybuilding supplements claims? Have the research results been duplicated by other studies?

It is wise to know bodybuilding supplements are not required to undergo the same rigorous testing as pharmaceutical agents do. This lack of regulation results in the creation of worthless products back by highly stretched claims, all funded by large advertising budgets.

I highly recommend looking in well respected, peer-reviewed, scientific journals for the truth on bodybuilding supplements. You can find most well respected journals on the internet at PubMed, a resource brought to you by the National Library of Medicine.

5. Make Sure To Follow Recommended Doses - If the supplement is backed by numerous placebo-controlled studies, don't exceed the recommended dosages.

I remember one bodybuilder years ago ingesting upwards of forty amino acids each day. More may not be better, but possibly a risk to your long-term health.

It is also a good idea to discuss your bodybuilding supplement regimen with your physician. If you are taking prescription medications, certain nutritional supplements may interfere with the positive action of the medication.

No longer will you have to go into a bodybuilding supplement purchase blindfolded. By following my 5 bodybuilding supplement buying tips presented above, you will be confident you are getting the results so highly claimed on the label.

Training Gear For Bodybuilding

Bodybuilding is a constantly evolving way of life. As you progress through different levels you may need to pick up additional training aids and equipment to help you advance to the next level.

I have been involved in bodybuilding for over 30 years and therefore feel infinitely qualified to advise you on the items you will need for bodybuilding training.

First I will cover the basic equipment needed by someone who is going to a commercial gym to train. By the way, it is my recommendation that anyone who is serious about bodybuilding go to a gym. You will progress much more rapidly and have access to all the best equipment plus you have the added benefit of the environment and the possibility of acquiring a training partner.

The basic equipment you will need for weight training starts with a sturdy pair of shoes. I prefer the shoes made for weight training or a good cross training shoe. DO NOT buy the shoes with the gel in them. When training legs with heavy weights I have blown the gel right out!

Next you will need comfortable shorts, or if you prefer sweatpants. The important thing here is flexibility. You do not want something tight and constricting. You may opt to wear something like under armor tights underneath for support which are very stretchy but you outerwear should be loose.

You shirt should also be loose, again you may wear underarmor if you choose, but you want to have a loose shirt like a T-shirt or tank top that will allow you freedom of movement. As you progress and become stronger you may elect to wear a power suit on heavy lifting days if you gravitate towards powerlifting.

I recommend you wear nothing on your head as this can cause over heating and in my experience is conducive to headaches. To take care of the sweat, bring a towel. It is also good gym etiquette to wipe your sweat off the equipment you have been on.

You will definitely want a good weight belt if you intend to train seriously at all. Squats and deadlifts should be at the core of a beginners routine and should be used in some form all throughout your life so invest in a good weight belt. When I first started the only thing available was the leather weight belt, now other materials are available and may be more comfortable.

I personally do not wear gloves during training as I prefer to build the calluses and toughen up my hands, however if you are concerned about calluses or you don't have a very good grip gloves may help you.

Build Muscle Fast with Bodybuilding Supplements

Are you known as "the weak one?" Got arms like pipe cleaners? Does this bother you? Then it's time. Time to get off your butt and do something. If you desire a Greek God like physique then you need to add bodybuilding supplements.

Bodybuilding supplements offer the necessary nutrtients muscles need to grow and get stronger. Eating a proper diet with lean meat, fruits and vegetables, and no junk food probably won't get the results you are looking for because it's hard to consume what it takes to build muscle from just food. This is where bodybuilding supplements come in.

The top bodybuilding supplements used by the best athletes are Whey protein shakes, creatine monohydrate, L-Glutamine, prohormones and a vitamin/mineral supplement. Other nutritional products designed to keep you healthy and looking great are meal replacement shakes, nutritional bars and low carb snacks. If you are training like an animal, watching everything you eat, but not reaching the desired results then it's time to add bodybuilding supplements.

Leading a healthy lifestyle isn't easy. You must stick with it without looking back. It takes determination, discipline, proper nutrition and supplements. Your body is only going to do so much on it's own. Nutritional support is critical to your success. While exercising and eating a balanced diet is very important, if you want to take your body to the next level you must increase the nutrients necessary to build muscle. Bodybuilding supplements help to do this.

Intense exercise takes a lot of energy and nutrients out of your body. If you don't replace them you will go nowhere! Furthermore, if you don't rebuild what is broken down you will go in reverse. Weight training breaks down muscle tissue and then your natural body reaction is to rebuild. But it can't if you don't feed the muscle with the right products. Bodybuilding supplements are what you need to rebuild and keep building muscle for the best shape of your life.

If you are tired of the way you look in the mirror, then set a goal and do everything you can to reach it. Never let anyone tell you it's impossible. Remember it's your dream, so don't let negative comments prevent you from getting the body you hunger for. Eat. Train. Supplement. Repeat this formula and you'll reach your goal in no time!

Women Bodybuilding For Beginners

With the current craze of the Atkins diet women are finding success fitting into clothes that they couldnt fit into for a while. Without a doubt the Atkins diet works. Unfortunately the diet doesnt help muscle tone or the cardiovascular system. Now with the fat that was covering the underlying muscle melted off,. you would like to see these muscles toned up. Why not try bodybuilding? You probably have some questions why you should start bodybuilding. I listed below some of the questions I have been asked over the years. Hopefully this will answer your queries.

Question 1

If I start bodybuilding will I develop huge muscles and have to quit my job as a dental hygienist? Im not looking forward to becoming a longshoreman and working on the docks and changing my name to Butch.

No. A woman does not have the testosterone levels as a man to build huge muscles. The bodybuilding training will only tone muscles and add shape.

Question 2

Will I have to 2nd mortgage the house so I can buy supplements to support my bodybuilding endeavors?

No. Just follow a natural well-balanced eating plan.

Question 3

Can I build a larger chest with bodybuilding?

No. But you can tone the underlying muscles of your chest which will help enhance your appearance.

Question 4

Do I have to join a gym?

No. You can workout at home buying some dumbbells and simple equipment. But it is helpful to train at a bodybuilding gym. It is great to be in an atmosphere where everybody else there is working towards the same goals as you.

Question 5

Do I have to commit a lot time to bodybuilding?

No. 3 times a week 1-hour sessions are all you really need to keep toned.

Question 6

Do I have to yell really loud when lifting weights or grunt like the guys at the gym or expel deadly gases while working out?

No. Please no. I was parking my truck in the parking lot of the gym I own in Northern Wisconsin and I heard a guy yelling from inside the gym. I thought he was hurt from the ear-splitting roar. After getting inside I found him finishing a set of wrist curls.

I hope this will answer your questions if you are interested in starting bodybuilding. It is a great individual sport. And you can choose the level you want to be at. From a recreational bodybuilder to a highly competitive bodybuilder that competes at shows. Hopefully this article will be a start of a series of women bodybuilding for beginners. Know your bodybuilding supplement - l-carnitine

L-carnitine is synthesized in the body from the amino acids lysine and methionine but it can also be found in nutritional sources such as red meats, dairy products and avocados. Its main role in the body is to help metabolize food into energy. L-carnitine does this by transferring long chain fatty acids into mitochondria where they are oxidised to produce energy.

L-carnitine is heart friendly and has been used for many years in the treatment of heart disease. Studies have shown that it can increase the heart's output and function, stimulate energy supply to the heart and improve overall cardiac performance.

Many bodybuilders use it for the following reasons:

1. It promotes muscle growth.

2. It increases energy.

3. It helps to burn fat.

4. It helps to prevent muscle fatigue.

L-carnitine is a relatively safe supplement provided the manufacturer's recommendations are followed. As with all supplements, remain aware that l-carnitine could be contained in other products so read the labels carefully to ensure your daily intake does not exceed four grams.

How To Choose The Best Low Impact Home Gym Equipment

More and more, we are reminded to exercise to get in shape and maintain good health. Unfortunately, many of the exercise options that are offered to help us can hurt us at the same time. High impact exercises burn a lot of calories and offer good cardiovascular benefits. At the same time, they can damage joints and bones. There are now options available that have the same benefits as high impact exercises but also minimize the chance of injury.

There are several great low impact pieces of exercise equipment. Three of these are:

Exercise bikes
Rowing Machines
Elliptical Trainer

Let's examine each of these exercise machines.

Exercise Bikes

Exercise bikes come in two main forms, upright and recumbent. The upright bike is like regular bikes in that you are sitting upright when using it. The benefit of an upright bike is that you can use it sitting down or standing up. Alternating sitting and standing will burn more calories by increasing exertion.

The recumbent bike leans back and your feet are positioned in front of you. These bikes offer more comfort and back support, but burn fewer calories since you have to remain in a seated position. Both styles of bike offer good exercise benefits, but mainly just exercise your legs. The prices range from $300-$600.

Rowing Machines

Rowing machines are built to simulate rowing a boat. They provide a good workout, not just for rowers but also for anyone seeking a good overall form of exercise. They range in price from $100 all the way up to $1500, depending on the quality of the machine and the options available. They offer four forms of resistance:

Air-This works by using a fan. As you pull on the bike, the fan spins and simulates the feel of rowing an actual boat.

Hydraulics-This works through hydraulic cylinders or pistons. While less expensive, they don't work as smoothly as others.

Water-This works by pulling bars through a small water tank and comes closest to simulating actual boat rowing.

Magnetism-As the title suggests these models use magnets. They offer a smooth, quiet ride and are more expensive.

Elliptical Trainers

Elliptical trainers also offer a good workout. The movement of the pedals combines the benefits of both a treadmill and an exercise bike. This works by standing upright on the pedals, which move around a large wheel. Since many have cross training bars that move back and forth, you get both an upper and lower body workout. The prices range from $200 up to $2500 for elliptical machines. Choose one with the following attributes:

Large wheel in front for sturdiness
Magnetic breaks for longer wear
Articulating footpads to keep circulation in your feet
A stride length between 18 and 21 inches.

When determining which piece of equipment is best for you, consider all the facts presented here. This way you can decide which machine is the right one for you.
